Its full title is “Parsing the Qur’an and Explaining Its Meanings,” and it is considered the first book explaining the readings that has reached us. I was interested in studying and investigating it: Zuhair Ghazi Zahid. It is the subject of his doctoral thesis (Faculty of Arts - Cairo University 1976). It was published with an introduction in which he dealt with the life of Abu Jaafar al-Nahhas and his works. The Iraqi Ministry of Endowments - Reviving Islamic Heritage published it. Presentation of his books: Dr. Ahmad Khattab Omar, regarding the book “The Parsing of the Qur’an”: by Abu Jaafar al-Nahhas: (Al-Mawrid Magazine 9 [Baghdad 1980] p. 4; pp. 813-817). - Abdulaziz bin Nasser completed Al-Sabr: A comparative study, entitled “The Parsing of the Qur’an between Al-Nahhas and Makkah [Ibn Abi Talib Al-Qaisi] and Ibn Al-Anbari.” Accordingly, he obtained a master’s degree from the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion: Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh. The three books are verified and published: (“A T A” [Kuwait: Volume 2 - February 1983] p. 5; p. 13). - The author is a grammarian, linguist, interpreter, and writer. وفقيه. مولده بمصر. رحل الى بغداد، فأخذ عن المبرد والأخفش، ونفطويه، والزجاج وغيرهم. ثم عاد إلى مصر، فأقام بها إلى أن توفي، إذ غرق في النيل. وهو غير ابن النحاس النحوي. المتوفى سنة 698هـ. صنف جمهرة من الكتب. وفي «معجم الأدباء » : ان تصانيفه تزيد على خمسين مصنفاً. ترجمته وأخباره، وذكر مصنفاته، مستوفاة في : المقدمة Written by: Ahmad Khattab, which included the book “Explanation of the Nine Famous Poems” (1: 3-92), the introduction written by: Zuhair Ghazi Zahid, and which included the “Book Explanation of the Verses of Sibawayh” (pp. 5-24), in which he indicated that he spoke about the life of Abu Jaafar al-Nahhas, in more detail, in the study he wrote and made it an introduction to the book “The Parsing of the Qur’an” by al-Nahhas, which is the subject of his doctoral dissertation, and what they mentioned and the references we mentioned It dealt with its translation and its effects. Wahb Metwally Omar Salama prepared a master’s thesis, which he submitted to the Faculty of Science in Cairo in 1972, entitled “Abu Jaafar al-Nahhas and his impact on grammatical studies.” It is narrated that the author died in the year 337 AH/948 AD. The copy from which the volume was written was written by Muhammad bin Yusuf bin Muhammad bin Ubayd Allah al-Baghdadi, in a very fine handwriting, in the year 599 AH Arabic manuscripts: (“Index of Illustrated Manuscripts” 1: 19) No. 15.
