The book is attributed to Aristotle, the Greek philosopher, who wrote it for the benefit of his student, the military leader Alexander. It is said that its translator into Arabic was John ibn al-Batriq, and it was said that he was Ishaq ibn Hunayn. However, nothing was mentioned in the manuscript to prove the authenticity of the attribution to one of them.
