Notes	Explanation of “The Nusayri Remembrance” in the Authority, by Nasir al-Din Muhammad bin Muhammad bin al-Hasan al-Tusi (d. 672 AH). His copyist neglected to copy the sermon of the book (i.e. the explanation) and began by copying the beginning of the annotated book, then moved directly to the explanation. The end of it is written in the same line, “The author, may God have mercy on him, completed writing this book on the beginning of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the months of the year seven hundred and eleven,” in which East Africa, Anatolia, the Islamic East, and even China appear. The author of Kashf al-Zunun left the place of the date of his death blank, and al-Baghdadi confirmed it in Hadiyat al-Arifin as we quoted it above. Al-Zirikli reported in al-A`lam (234/2) on the authority of Shiite notables that his death occurred after 850 AH. This is an error because the dates of his completion of writing his books do not agree with the aforementioned date. Perhaps the reason for this error was what the author of the disclosure (or its publisher) made when he made the date of his completion of the above book the year 811 instead of 711 AH. It is an illusion, confirmed by the fact that he wrote another book, Tafsir al-Tahrir in the year 704 AH (History of Astronomy in Iraq 47). On paper 79 is a map of the world in red ink.
