It was said: it is wine, and it was said: it is old wine. See (Al-Mu'arab, p. 124), (Shifa' al-Ghaleel, p. 87), and (The emergence, growth, and completion of the Arabic language, p. 39) - the author is one of the imams of language and literature. He was born in Kazarin, a country in Persia, and moved to Iraq, toured Egypt and the Levant, entered the Roman lands and India, and traveled to Zabid in Yemen in the year 796 AH, and its king, Al-Ashraf Ismail, honored him, so he resided in it and became its judge. He remained there for twenty years, during which he came to Mecca more than once, and visited Medina and Taif. He died in Zabid. He has a number of venerable books, the most famous of which is “The Ocean Dictionary.” The year of his death differed. In (Al-Aqiq Al-Yamani - Manuscript) it was said: “He died in Shawwal in the year 819.” In (Azhar Al-Riyadh: 3:39): “His death was on the night of the twentieth of Shawwal in the year one hundred and seventeen sixteen and eight hundred.” - This is what was mentioned in the conclusion: “This summary was completed on the day of Sunday, the blessed seventh of Safar, in the year seven hundred and seventy-seven, in the city of Bab Lion, and may God’s prayers and peace be upon the master of the first and the last, Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets.” - An illustrated copy of a treasury manuscript in the Egyptian House of Books (number 511 in one language), written in the year 777 AH during the author’s era. Its author placed it in chapters and arranged it according to the letters of the alphabet. - A handwritten copy of it is in the library of Yale University, in New Haven, entitled “The Gentle Sitter in the Names of Al-Khandris,” No. 515. See: Korkis Awad (1) “Arabic Manuscripts in American Bookstores,” p. 24), (2) (“A Tour of American Bookstores,” p. 80). - In the Timurid Treasury is a copy in old handwriting, undated (No. 252 language; 317 pages, 20/30 cm). And see about “The Uncomplicated Sitter...” (Tdhikrat al-Nawadir from Arabic Manuscripts), p. 134. - In (Al-Du’ Al-Lami’ 10: 82), (Azhar Al-Riyadh 3: 44) and (Shadharat Al-Dhahab 7: 128): The title of the book is “The Unassuming Sitter in the Names of Al-Khandris” and in (Kashf Al-Zunun. 1: 593): “The Unassuming Sitter in the Names of Al-Khandris.” p. 118), and (“The Key to Sa’ada” 1: 105): (Asma’ al-Khandris) - He mentioned the names of alcohol according to the letters of the dictionary... and mentioned those who forbade it for themselves in pre-Islamic times and Islam, and who drank it among the virtuous ones in Islam - in the title paper: “For the treasury of our master, the honorable Sultan, Shaban, may God immortalize him.” We said: He is Sultan Shaban, son of Sultan Hussein, son of King Al-Nasir Muhammad, and at the top of the paper: “Praise be to God God Almighty: He transferred the purchase from the estate of the late Sayyid Ibrahim Effendi al-Naqib to the king of the most despicable of servants, Muhammad Sadiq bin Muhammad, known as Ibn al-Kharrat. He forgave them both early in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the year 1130. And in another place: “2/52 piasters: Whoever wrote to the poor Ibrahim Hosni, he will be forgiven in the year 1101.” - A photocopy of it is at the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts in Cairo. See (Index of Illustrated Manuscripts) 1: 352; No. 107/ Linguistics.
Sample Text Basmala..., he said: I praise God and sanctify him with the most honorable praise and sanctification..., said Al-Multaji to the wife of God Almighty, Muhammad bin Yaqoub bin Muhammad Al-Fayrouzabadi, may God bless him... This is a book that I wrote to magnify the matter in the prohibition of alcohol, and I called it Al-Jalis Al-Annis in the prohibition of the Khandris, and to explain their names and descriptions, and I did not previously write it on this basis.
