Notes It includes a booklet, and its title is in a gilded cover as follows: “From what Sultan Muzaffar Al-Ma’an, Maulana Ismail, wrote to his son, Maulana Al-Ma’mun.” It is all advice on the methods of governance and administration, from Sultan Mawla Ismail the Great to his son Al-Ma’mun, and in it the Sultan blames his son for some of what he did that he did not like, and warns him against the people of the country that he is in charge of, which is Tafilalt and Ahwaz, and that he cannot It is governed only by a man who is not subject to the blame of a blamer (the first message), and that the president or governor must be extremely determined and firm, and advises him to treat the countries he rules with kindness and forbearance, and to maintain order and security (the second message). And that he did not find anyone better than him to rule the countries that he was in charge of, namely, Taflalat, Atawat, Takreen, and Draa. He had confidence in him and hope that he would behave well. He advised him to take care and watch over the Arabs of these countries, because they corresponded with the King of Sudan (the third letter). The Sultan pointed out the importance of these countries and the abundance of their resources, and he mourned his son’s lack of concern and lack of insight into political affairs (the fourth letter). Then he advised him to write to him regularly so that he would have insight into his affairs, and that He distributes what he has of supplies, flour, and crops to the Arabs of the country (the fifth letter). The first letter is dated Safar in the year 1104 AH, the second in Rajab in the year 1110 AH, and the fourth in Jumada al-Awwal in the year 1103 AH.
