- His author included the first things of deeds, deeds, and sayings in pre-Islamic times and Islam, and what was attributed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and to the companions, followers, kings, presidents, judges, and writers. He made it ten chapters. It was mentioned by Yaqut al-Hamawi (“Dictionary of Writers” 3: 137 - 138), and he said: “...As for his death, nothing has reached me about it, except that I found in the last book of the first ones from his classification: And we finished dictating this book on the Wednesday of the last ten days of Shaban in the year 395.” Al-Hajj Khalifa said in his speech on “Ilm al-Awwal”: (“Kashf al-Zunun” 1: 199-200): “... Among them is the Book of al-Awwal by Abu Hilal Hasan bin Abdullah al-Askari, who died in the year three hundred and ninety-five, and he was the first to compile it, and it is a brief treatise, and its summary is called al-Wasa’il [to know the Awwal] by Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti. Perhaps Hajj Khalifa did not read this book, “The Firsts,” which contains 243 pages, or any other copy of it. If he had stopped at it, he would have retracted his statement that it was a “brief message.” I was responsible for investigating it: Muhammad Al-Sayyid Al-Wakil. It was published by Asaad Tarabzouni Al-Hassani (Medina, 1971). It was stated in (Al-Aqlam Magazine 7 [Baghdad 1971] p. 8) and similarly in (The Arab Heritage News Bulletin of the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts [Cairo 1/10/1971] p. 5, p. 6): “Mr. Radwan Al-Sayyid, the editor-in-chief of the Islamic Thought Magazine in Beirut, is reviewing the book (The Firsts) by Abu Hilal Al-Askari. He will soon submit it to the printing press.” Muhammad al-Masry and Walid Qassab were responsible for its investigation. It appeared in two sections: (the first: in 1975, and the second in 1976, printed by the Ministry of Culture - Damascus). He added: Ibrahim Saleh: (“Journal of the Arabic Language Academy in Damascus” 51 [July 1976], vol. 3, pp. 637-645). It was reprinted in their verification (Al-Masry and Al-Qassab): (two parts. Riyadh - Dar Al-Ulum and Publishing 1401 AH = 1981 AD). - The military author attributed it to “Askar Makram” from Kur al-Ahwaz. He is a scholar of literature and has poetry. He is the nephew of Abu Ahmed Al-Hasan bin Abdullah bin Saeed Al-Askari (d. 382 AH = 993 AD) and his student. A collection of great books. A photocopy of a handwritten copy in the Egyptian House of Books. A handwritten copy of it: 1- Talaat Library in Cairo (no. 1888 date), in the usual handwriting. Written by Ahmed bin Al-Muqri Al-Muddab, in the year 651 AH, copied from a copy written in 620 AH, 191 BC, 19 AH. See: (Fuad Sayyid: “Arabic Manuscripts in the World: Anecdotes of Manuscripts in the Talaat Library”: “Journal of the Institute of Arab Manuscripts” 3 [Cairo: November 1957] Part 2, p. 205). 2- Dar al-Kutub al-Misriyya (No. 2705 History), with a regular pen, in old script, 287 BC, 18/25 AD. In the year 589 AH, see (“Tadhkirat al-Nawadir,” p. 74, serial 81 (2)).
3- She is an illustrator at the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts in Cairo. See: (“Index of Illustrated Manuscripts” 2: 2, No. 03 and illustrated in the King Abdul Aziz House in Riyadh. See: (Alam al-Kutub Magazine 3 [Riyadh: January-February 1983] No. 4; p. 683, No. 26). 4- Arif Hikmat Library in Medina (No. 48 date), in a good old regular script, perhaps one of the scripts of the fifth century AH (200 BC, 17 Q. 5- And it is illustrated in the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts in Cairo. See: (“Index of Illustrated Manuscripts” 2/3: p. 40, No. 921). Perhaps the copy of Arif Hikmat’s library is the same one mentioned in (“Tazkirat al-Nawadir” p. 74, serial 81 (1). He said: “An old copy of it is in the library of Sheikh al-Islam, and it was written in the year 395 - I said: Ghalib. I think it was written in the author’s script as indicated by the phrase quoted from the Dictionary of Writers. 5 - The Library of Books for the Scholars’ Symposium in a new script. 7 - Several copies of it in the offices of India. See regarding these copies, 5, 6, 7: (“Tazkirat Al-Nawadir” p. 74, No. 81/ (3), (4), (5) 8- Library of the German Orientalist Society in Halle. See: (Dr. Adnan Jawad Al-Ta’ma: “Index of Arabic Manuscripts Preserved in the Society’s Library...” p. 70, No. 56. See also (“Brockelmann” 1: 194).

Basmala..., Praise be to God who raised the rank of literature and its people, and the highest status of the people of knowledge and its bearers..., said Abu Hilal Al-Hasan bin Abdullah bin Sahl, may God support him, and I saw most of the elite and most of the common people of Hajin asking about the beginnings of actions and the beginnings of nouns and verbs, and they did not find in that a book that collects its arts and contains its types... except scattered excerpts in the multiplication of newspapers and the beginning of books..., so I wrote this book including This type of news, containing this art of effects, explained briefly, politely, and sincerely..., and I made it ten chapters.
