Notes - The title talks about playing chess - see about it: (“Revealing Suspicions” 1: 185, and he called it “The Model of Workers...”, (“Clarification of the Hidden” 1: 136), (Brückelmann 2: 6), (“Chess in the Arab Heritage” pp. 137-141). Its investigation was undertaken by: Zuhair Ahmed Al-Qaisi, and it was published by the Ministry of Culture and Information (Dar Al-Hurriya for Printing - Baghdad, 1980, 361 pages). - The author is a scholar of literature, a poet, from the people of Tlemcen. He lived in the Sufi sheikhdom of Manjak in the outskirts of Cairo, and died there. He wrote more than eighty works, and mentioned his works in the documentation, and the references they mentioned about him. He wrote at the top of the first page, in a late handwriting Playing chess by Ibn Abi Hajleh. He wrote in his book: “The Book of the Model of Fighting in the Transfer of Al-Awwal, the like of which was not compiled by some of the predecessors, may God have mercy on them.” - An illustrated copy from a handwritten copy in the “John Rylands” bookstore, (No. [59] 767. Arabic). The book includes various tables explaining the game of chess, and its author has arranged it into an introduction and eight chapters - a copy of it A complete manuscript in the library of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad, including drawings and illustrations, written about (seventy) years ago (No. 1067, 94 pages, 21.5/16 cm, 21 x).
