Notes	It was written by the copyist on the orders of Sayyid Hussam al-Din Mahmoud bin al-Sayyid Abd al-Rahman Effendi al-Qadiri al-Hasani, and he interviewed it himself. The copy is preceded by two pages, the first of which is in Persian, a benefit in geometry, signed by Hamdallah Kamal al-Din al-Qadiri al-Mahmoudi, and on the other is written the author’s translation, copied from the Dictionary of Writers by Yaqut al-Hamawi and from the Treasury of Literature by Abd al-Qadir al-Baghdadi. Yaqut said in his translation of Al-Aswad Al-Ghandjani: “He was a genealogical scholar, knowledgeable of the days of the Arabs and their poetry, valuable in knowing their conditions, and his basis was in what he narrated on the authority of Muhammad bin Ahmad Abi Al-Nada, and this man is unknown and his descendants are not known.” Abu Mansur Bahram bin Mafna bin Sahl is the vizier of King Abu Kalijar bin Sultan al-Dawla bin Baha al-Dawla bin Adad al-Dawla bin Buwayh, owner of Shiraz.
Sample Text	Abu Muhammad Al-Arabi said: These are the names of the Arab horses, the stallions and heifers, that have given birth and given birth, and their offspring have dispersed among the Arabs from those who mentioned this and were proud of it in pre-Islamic times and Islam, and the names of the individual Arab horses that were mentioned by themselves but whose offspring were not mentioned. Among them are what we have relied upon (benefited from) in what we have read from Abu al-Nada - may God Almighty have mercy on him, regarding the days of the Arabs, their genealogies, and the collections of their tribes, and among them are what he dictated to us, which I compiled for our Lord, the Eminent Master, Al-Mu’ayyad Al-Mansur, the Guardian of Blessings, Abu Mansur Bahram ibn Mafna ibn Sahl - may God prolong his life and perpetuate his elevation to its rank based on the loyalty of the dictionary letters.
