Notes Although the book is attributed to Muhammad bin Mahmoud Al-Shirwani, the copies attributed to him are all in the Sulaymaniyah Public Library and are classified under medicine and geography. The text is followed in places. The titles are written in red, with comments in the margins, and in the margin of the introduction is written “Year 11.” This manuscript may be the second volume, which is the translation of the book into Turkish, and it was mentioned in Kashf al-Zunun: and the translation of the original in Turkish by Mahmoud bin Muhammad bin Dilshad. Perhaps this is the translation mentioned, and the manuscript does not have the name of the copyist on it, but the handwriting of this copy is completely similar to the handwriting of other copies, including the Fatih version 4265M, and at the end of this copy the name of the copyist was written as Darwish Omar bin Muhammad al-Ma’ruf in the year 854 AH, and all of this indicates or strengthens the fact that this copy was composed by Ibn Dilshad al-Shirwani. Manuscript No. 2997 can be considered in Hagia Sophia.
