Notes What was stated in the introduction to the book as its title: “The Creativity of Matters in the Events of Ages” is an oversight by the copyist; This is because the book has twenty-one other separate copies in the libraries of Sulaymaniyah, including printed copies such as the Haji Mahmoud Effendi Library copy, No. 4382, and a copy in the author’s handwriting, which is the fourth part of the book, copied in the year 901. It is in the Fatih Library, No. 4197, and the title in it is clear and prominent as: “Bada’i’ al-Zuhur fi Qa’i’i’ al-Awwar,” and as for the book “Bada’i’ al-Amwar fi Wa’ika’il al-Ahur,” it may be another history book by al-Suyuti. The book consists of two parts, the first part from (1/b) to (199/a), and the second from (200/b) to (350/b), and the rest of the pages are framed in red. The pages are closed, and some of the margins contain corrections, comments, and benefits. At the beginning of the book is an objective index with eight pages. Haji Khalifa said in Kashf al-Zunun (1/229): “But he did not complete it.”
Sample Text Praise be to God, the Ancient, the First, the Eternal... I composed this history and selected it from thirty-one histories from the benefits of those who preceded me in all histories and biographies, so I extracted from the seas of their meanings... And I have reported in this history the praiseworthy facts mentioned in the histories... Then I mentioned from the beginning of the creation of Adam... until I reach the news of our Prophet Muhammad, the best of prayers and peace be upon him, then I mentioned after that the news of the Rightly Guided Caliphs... Then after that I mentioned the news of the Circassian state and those of them who gained power. To this day... and I called it: the deposits of matters in the events of the ages
