Notes	Digitized from a substitution document: R 176922. ʿImad ad-Din Aboul-Fida Ismaʿil ibn ʿOmar al-Dimishki known as Ibn Kethir wrote a general history of the Muslim world, which extends until the year 772 AH (1371), two years before his death. The translation, according to Haği Khalifa, is due to Mahmoud ibn Mohammed ibn Dilshad; according to the same authority, the Arabic original included ten volumes, but the Vienna copy seems to have had only eight, the seventh of which is devoted to the events of the years 615-746 A.H. (1218-1345). The present volume, which is formally indicated in its subscription as the seventh of the work (folio 193 verso), contains nothing similar; it only talks about the precursory signs of the end of the world, the Antichrist, the Mahdi, the resurrection, and questions relating to eschalology. This manuscript was annotated by a Greek; the text of Ibn Kethir el-Dimishki's translation is followed by the supreme recommendations of Abou Hanifa, the وصيّت ابوحنيفه, in Arabic. Gaulmin. Gaulmin.
