Notes brown wooden boards with carvings — The text was written in East Javanese cursive script, irregular and often difficult to read. — palm leaf — Menak Amir Hamza romance in macapat verse, Islamic epical tales about the exploits of the Prophet’s uncle Hamza and his family, warring against the infidels. At one point in the tale Hamza is in Jamintoran country. The idiom is East Javanese, or Javano-Madurese. There is a stamp of the Museum für Indische Kunst Berlin.
