Tamil: puḷḷi, European numerals in the text on page 21r, distinction between long and
short e and o. — palm leaf — Both on sheet 1 (gloss, line 2) there is talk of the night and on sheet 26 (the
night vigils called “cāmam”). The gloss on sheet 1 mentions a “cīcā” and her
Preparation for smoking, the running text in Z.1 describes the heating of a permeable
material to sift through. The infinitive “warm up” (“eṭukka”) is the most common word
in the games read so far. Sheet 26 could be about cleaning (“kaṭaical”) the shisha
complete. - Cover page bears invocations to various śivaite deities.
