Citing Bursalı Mehmed Tahir's work titled Ottoman Authors (Kurnaz-Tatcı 2000: II/52), in several studies, one of the 16th century scholar poets, Ahmed b. with the pseudonym Le'âlî. The work attributed to Mustafa (For example, see Kılınçarslan 2007: 14, Ördek 2014, Abak 2018: 16, Bilim 2019: 15). However, as a result of our investigations, no work by Le'âlî called Dekâyiku'l-Mîzân fî Mekâdiri'l-Evzân was found; However, an Arabic work with the same name (Dekâyiku'l-Mîzân fî Mekâdiri'l-Evzân) is written by Eşref-zâde Ali Çelebi b. It has been determined that it is attributed to Hüsrev el-İznikî (1018/1609). This author, also known as Fâzıl Alî Bey and Müellif-i Cedîd, is an important Ottoman scholar known for his approximately 60 treatises on chemistry, and like Le'âlî, he also bears the title of "Saruhanî" (For his life and works, see Bursalı Mehmed Tahir 2000: I/116-117, İhsanoğlu et al. 2006: I/53-80). It is highly probable that Bursalı Mehmed Tahir confused these two authors because of this work, as their nisbes are the same. The aforementioned Dekâyiku'l-Mîzân fî Mekâdiri'l-Evzân is in Arabic and was written on the subject of chemistry, not on aruz, as stated by Bursalı (2000: II/52). The book consists of eight levels, eight quantities and nine levels. In the study titled History of Ottoman Natural and Applied Sciences Literature, it is stated that there are also Turkish copies of the work, and 14 copies were identified (İhsanoğlu et al. 2006: I/55).
