Notes Square panel from a linen tunic, tapestry-woven in purple wool and undyed linen thread. Within a central circle a mounted huntsman and a lion. Leaf-ornament in the spandrels. A border of interlaced bands forms circles which enclose alternately an animal or a leafy stem.

Fiziksel açıklama Fragment of a tapestry woven panel, possibly from a linen tunic, in purple-brown wool and undyed linen thread. The slit-tapestry woven pattern, dark on light, consists of a central circle within a rectangle, with a lion and mounted hunter, and leaf-ornament in the spandrels. Bordering this is a pattern border of interlacing vines forming circlular compartments, each alternately containing an animal or a stylised vine leaf. Details are picked out in flying thread brocading, in undyed linen thread. The panel has been mounted to a modern plain woven linen ground fabric.
