Fiziksel açıklama Fragment of a tapestry woven panel, possibly from a linen tunic, in purple-brown wool and undyed linen thread. The slit-tapestry woven pattern, dark on light, consists of a central circle within a rectangle, with a lion and mounted hunter, and leaf-ornament in the spandrels. Bordering this is a pattern border of interlacing vines forming circlular compartments, each alternately containing an animal or a stylised vine leaf. Details are picked out in flying thread brocading, in undyed linen thread. The panel has been mounted to a modern plain woven linen ground fabric. Tapestry weave: Linen warp (S-spun) Wool weft (Z-spun, 60/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 50/c)
