A pass of thin ground weft holds the warp threads in place between each pass of double pattern weft. All the threads are carried across the back of the material. The field is a hexagonal lattice, and each panel contains a stepped diamond with flowerets rising from the steps. The narrow border contains S-forms within hexagons.
