Fiziksel açıklama Bag woven in wool on a woollen warp. WARP: dark brown wool; Z2S; 13 threads per inch (60 per dm). WEFT: Back: wool: 5 colours: red, light green, blue, brown, white. Front: foundation weft: red and brown wool Z2S; 21 threads per inch (approximately 86 per dm counted as 43 per 5 cms). Pattern weft: wool and cotton; 7 colours: orange, light orange, dark green, light green, dark blue, blue, white. SIDE FINISH: 2 cords: returned wefts on both sides; no evidence of having been stitched to form a bag. END FINISH: both ends turned under and stitched. Upper end of bag face: 4 cms plain weave beginning with dark red woollen weft, then a narrow band of red and blue with white woollen weft at the top. Lower end of piece: maximum depth 4 cms. balanced plain weave with white woollen weft. DESIGN: Field: (front): plain weave with dark red woollen weft; brocaded on it are Z-motifs. The main one is a small blue diamond with an orange centre, with four enlarged diamonds. The smaller motif is a red diamond. Both motifs are outlined by a dark green lattice. Field (back): weft-faced plain weave with white woollen weft. Four stylised flowerheads are grouped off-centre with the beginning of a fifth lower down. Borders: (front): lower and upper: red zigzag separating coloured triangles. (sides): same design but wider with inner and outer guard of reciprocal red and blue triangles outlined in white cotton. At the 'base' of the bag, where the red foundation weft becomes white, there is an added fringe, maximum length 46 cms. in light green, brown and dark brown with eight white cords plied with orange or dark blue wool.
