Short photo of a manuscript, content: stories in Persian. From the remaining part of the same it follows that it is the translation of the Arabic work "Al-faraǧ baʿd aš-šidda wa aḍ-ḍīqa", which is authored by Abu-'l-Ḥasan ʿAlī Ibn-Muḥammad al-Madāʾinī. This manuscript incorrectly states al-Madānī (Fol. 1 1.6) and al-Mīdānī (Fol. 1 1.13). The name of the translator, who does not appear in this manuscript, is Ḥusain Ibn-As'ad al-Dahistānī. He translated the same at the request of ʿIzz ad-Dīn Ṭāhir Ibn-Zankī and titled it "Tarǧuma-i al-Faraǧ baʿd aš-šidda wa-'ḍ-ḍīqa". In this manuscript "al-faraǧ" is incorrectly written with "h", the correct one is on Fol. 1 1.8. According to the preface, the Arabic original comprised 50 sheets. The work is divided into 12 chapters in the preface, but 13 are present in the text, Incomplete: The beginning of the preface is missing, Font: Nastaʿlīq, Old signature: Quatremère 118, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
