Praise be to God, by permission of the one whom God should honor. He saw his two martyrs, the honorable young man, Moulay Ahmed bin Sidi Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman al-Alawi, lying in a room in the first house on the right of the inside of the alley above the highest mosque in Ras al-Jinan, and in the front of his head there was a wound as large as two fingertips, cutting off the skin, oozing blood, and his clothes were stained with it. This is something that a rational person would not do himself. He was asked who had done that to him, so he mentioned that the day before yesterday, his date in Ras al-Jarnia, and the son of al-Zarad, the son of al-Attar, came to him. The two residents of the springs and hit him together with a stone and a knife, intentionally and aggressively, until he inflicted the infected wound. If God destined his death from that, it was said that he was found innocent, so the two strikers mentioned are the ones who are liable and the one who benefits from it. Whoever witnessed that mentioned and heard that about him, and he was in the condition described, and his grave was known about him on the sixteenth of Hajjah in the year eighty-six and two thousand and one thousand. Praise be to God, after they testified to the father of those around him that he healed the defendant around him from the wound. His son around him was completely acquitted, even if that led to his death, such that he had no words left with them. It is due to what he mentioned. The son of Al-Mattar attended around him and his brother, Sidi Muhammad, Umm Kulthum bint Idris Al-Zarrad, his representative, on behalf of her son Al-Zarraad mentioned, and they acquitted the plaintiff around him with complete and general acquittal. They knew his worth, attested by him in his entirety. He knew (such) around him, and from him in a state of imprisonment, and he knew who except the woman, he knew about her in the tenth of the month around him.
