The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Praise be to God, whose Sunnah inspires those of His servants who want what is right (...) As for what follows, when it was not permissible for a Muslim person to undertake a matter until he knew God’s ruling on it, and the people of the city of Marrakesh, whom God had preserved and protected from all evil and from the plots of every cunning enemy, knew the ruling of God in what they had now undertaken, such as the victory of Sultan and the deposition of the one before him, their scholars knew the ruling on that and informed those who did not know it of it.
The end of the manuscript: How could he not accept the pledge of allegiance to this imam, whom everyone who knows him has agreed upon his having gathered the conditions of the Imamate in terms of knowledge, and no one following him in Islam, and those of understanding are sufficient (....) with an eyebrow. The poet said: A muffled sign is sufficient for the intelligent one. *** and others are called the loud call. They are equated with rebuke by the stick *** Then the stick is the fourth condition. I finish.
