Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon Muhammad. May God preserve the position of our master, the most glorious jurist, the most honorable Pasha, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj. May the peace, mercy and blessings of God Almighty be upon you, for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. And let you know, sir, that you commanded us to gather the sheikhs of Al-Sakhirat and the sheikhs of Banu Ammar and their group, and we read to them your letter, and I complied with your command, and we presented to the olive trees in which the dispute occurred. So the Banu Ammar claimed that the dispute occurred in their olive trees. They called the Rocks that this happened in their olive trees, so they asked the Bani Ammar from the Rocks to bring them an oath that this happened in their olive trees, the Rocks, and the Bani Ammar were guarding the warehouse, and the Pasha’s hand was extended over them, so the Rocks refused and asked the Bani Ammar to take an oath according to what was mentioned, and they committed themselves to the security of the warehouse and directed everyone who opposed them, and they censured the Bani Ammar. Sidi Wasi looked at them, and they saw one of the Rocks and two of the Bani turning away. Ammar, and here is the drawing of the testimony that reaches you, and here we are, my master learned of the reality, and my master’s vision is broader. May God bless us with the truth in which the dispute and peace occurred on the 3rd of Shaban in the year 1283, and the answer was given to us, and from it, I was righteous among the children of Ammar, and as the truth was established on the rocks, I descended upon them until your words come about...
