Notes The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. (...) This is the footnote of the world (...) Sheikh Al-Fayshi on Sheikh Khaled, explaining Al-Jarumiyya (...) His saying, “He says is a present tense verb,” and its origin is “He says,” and “Dammah Ainah” was transferred to Fa’ah, so he began to say, “And the poor slave is the subject,” and “Khalid” instead of it. The end of the manuscript: the addition to it of the genus, i.e. in the genus of the foundations of the science of Arabic, and its counterpart is the intention of the genus observance, for the witness (...) is his statement in the foundations of the science of Arabic, i.e. its universal rules, because the plural of the genus is the origin, which is the language of the foundation, and what (...) is the thing and a comprehensive textual term from which the rulings of the particulars of its subject are recognized, and what is meant by the knowledge of Arabic is here, even if it is multiple.
