The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God. As for what follows, praise be to God, the truth of His praise, and prayers and peace be upon the one after whom there is no prophet, and upon his family, companions, and soldiers. When he met with the poor servant, to whom would he say, and he was in charge of gathering them, if he willed, the Almighty, the handsome young man, the virtuous, the chaste, the learned, the prophetic, the good, the honest brother Sidi Abdul Qadir, nicknamed Ibn Abdullah Ibn Al-Sheikh Al-Musharafi Al-Gharisi Al-Oharani, may God grant him all good wishes for the protection of Constantine when he passed by a caravan with her. From his argument, God treated him with his structure, and we discussed the hadiths of the Qadiriyya order and the Sunni honors and advantages, both clear and hidden, of its companions.
End of the manuscript: We have commanded him, as our sheikh commanded us, to recite the word of the Shahada after every obligatory prayer one hundred and sixty-six times, and to extend his hand in repentance to everyone who desires it, and to teach it to whoever wants it, and to permit this to whomever deserves it, and to take the conquests of Sheikh Sidi Abdul Qadir al-Jilani, the Sultan of the Saints (...) so let him fear God secretly and publicly, and do not forget us from his supplications and peace. He wrote about the dictation of our Sheikh Abu Al-Yaman, Sidi Ammar bin Muhammad bin Mansur Al-Sharif Al-Hasani Al-Maliki Al-Qasantini, early Rajab Allah 12 (...) He ended and after it in Al-Mujaiz’s handwriting, what is this text: What is attributed to us is authentic and written by Al-Fakir to his gentle Lord, Ammar bin Mansour Al-Sharif. Ah.
After this approval, a text was written on how to teach the Sufi chain of transmission in the Qadiriyya order: This text is in 21 lines, the beginning of which is: “Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may His prayers be upon the Master of Messengers, and satisfaction with all his family and companions. Then, how to teach the disciple is to command the disciple to pray two rak’ahs with the intention of repentance, and command him after the prayer to close the door of the house and say, ‘I intended to close the door of evil.’ Then you sit facing the Qiblah on your knees as if you were to recite the tashahhud and command.” The aspirant should sit facing you on his knees as well... [and after reciting clear verses from the Holy Qur’an and some specific supplications] Then he says, “I am satisfied with God as Lord, with Islam as religion, with the Qur’an as an imam, with the Kaaba as the Qiblah, with our master and master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, as a prophet and a messenger, with my master Abdul Qadir al-Jilani as an elder, and with the people of the Qadiriyya path as brothers, I have no rights, and upon them is obedience that unites us, and disobedience divides us.” The aspirant follows you in every sentence. Then you say to the disciple, “I have rewarded you with the same as what my sheikh, my guide, and my role model, so-and-so, has rewarded me.” Then the disciple says, “I accept.” This is the method of indoctrination that the sheikhs, may God be pleased with them, taught us.
