The beginning of the manuscript: The sheikh, the one imam, Abu Zakaria Yahya bin Ali Al-Khatib Al-Tabrizi, said, “After praising God, Lord of the worlds, and blessings upon Muhammad and his entire family, when I finished explaining the book Al-Hasama and refining the book Al-Islah and other books, a group of literary scholars asked me to explain to them the poetry of Abu Al-Tayyib Ahmed bin Al-Hasan Al-Mutanabbi in a brief explanation that would be less in volume and more useful. I responded to them and decided, with God’s will and will, to explain it from beginning to end. At the end, he mentioned the necessary strange things, parsing, and meanings, without prolonging the citations that are indispensable, so there is no point in mentioning them. Abu Al-Fath Uthman bin Jinni, may God have mercy on him, abounded in the interpretation of citations, and the book was long in them. Abu Al-Ala Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Suleiman Al-Tanukhi Al-Ma’arri, may God have mercy on him, mentioned him in his book known as Al-Lami’ Al-Azizi in poetry.
The end of the manuscript: Her earrings are the ones who are returning, for what she asked for is far away. It is said that the horse’s earring is his rein if he sends it from his hand until it reaches his ear, which is the place of the earring, and he extends his hand until he reaches that place, and the earring is at the bottom of the ear and the nose is at the top. Therefore, earrings here are better than cursing. H. She is returning, that is, to the country of the enemy, because she is far away. She is close to her because she hastened to pay off Haffa Hippocrates on his behalf, and no tax was known to its owner. I read it on Abu Al-Ala... with a hamza kasra. He replied to me and said, “Adha’a” with the hamza fatha and nothing else
Professor Fakhr al-Din Qabawa mentioned that there is a copy of this explanation in the Paris Library: the beginning of 3101 - 3104.
