Notes
Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master and Lord Muhammad and upon his family and companions, our dearest earthly love, the best, the most pleased, the most glorious, the most glorious, the most guided, the happiest, my master Muhammad ibn Talib, may God keep you preserved and with the eyes of his remarkable care. Peace and mercy of God be upon you for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after his obligation to renew your covenant with you and ask about you and your generous conditions, God has kept you in sublime glory and the grace of God is sustainable. This is what is presented. Your gathering is good, God willing. We are united against the infidel enemy of God in a valley in a valley in Ahvaz, Tetouan. We ask God for help, victory, and empowerment from the necks of the infidel enemies of God. May God destroy them. You have heard what happened to Tetouan and the anxiety and panic that befell the Muslims and the departure of its people from it, barefooted and naked, wandering in the valleys and mountains. It is a city after the light of knowledge, hadith, and the Qur’an, which has fallen into the hands of the people of disbelief, misguidance, and tyranny. We ask May God strengthen the resolve of Islam, unite their word, and help them to remove it from those who claim religion to serve the master of the ancients and the latter. Among those who went out wandering were our family and children, and they had a great awe, so we directed them to Tangiers until they calmed down. Then it became clear to us that they were going to the first ax, so we directed them to your chamberlain. What is desired is that your Excellency appoints a house for them to live in, because we are immigrants from our country first, then from Tetouan secondly, and today they are in disgrace. And your sanctuary, do not disappoint us and do not cut off our share of you, because the mind is combed with two paths: the first is the path of service and the interest of Islam, and the second is the path of family and children. There is no power nor strength except with God. We belong to God and to Him we shall return. Beautiful patience, and God is our helper. You must pray in their times and places, and may God accept, and grant peace from us to everyone who asks about us. May you always be in God’s safety and protection. Peace be upon you. 12 Shaaban in the year 1276 Hamouda Al-Jaziri God’s kindness With it
