Notes Notes: 1- This explanation was attributed to al-Nazim himself, that is, to al-Marghiti al-Susi, by al-Mahi al-Qaytouni in the “Dictionary of Moroccan Publications, p. 178,” and by Latifa al-Kunduz in “Moroccan Publications, p. 21,” but repeated expressions in the explanation indicate that it is by someone other than al-Marghiti, including: “Now that some of the companions whose concern was related to matters of religion (...) urged me (...) to A restriction has been made to explain the poem attributed to the jurist, scholar, scholar, scholar, and eloquent scholar Abu Abdullah Sidi Muhammad bin Saeed al-Susi al-Marghati, of Marrakesh origin, al-Dar called Tuhfat al-Muhtaj, regarding the ruling on people eating chicken, in which I permit its words, and explain its purposes (...) This rhyme [= the rhyme of Al-Habti] that he mentioned, may God have mercy on him, I have not come across now, nor have I known any of the students who stumbled upon it, and perhaps because it was as the Sheikh, may God have mercy on him, described it in terms of problems and brokenness, I did not The students pass it on and do not pay attention to it. Then I stopped at it after recording this and saw it as he said. Then the commentator cites Sheikh Muhammad al-Mahdi al-Fasi, who died in the year 1109 AH, while Al-Marghiti had died in the year 1089 AH/1678 AD, for whom the scholar Muhammad al-Mukhtar al-Susi translated a lengthy translation in al-Ma’sul, in which he cited his news and poetry from various sources, from which he mentioned this annotated system, but no explanation was attributed to him in it. (Al-Ma’soul, vol. 10, pp. 185-202). 2- This commentary was printed in three lithograph editions, according to Al-Mahi Al-Qaitouni: an undated edition in 24 pages with jurisprudential answers at the end (which is this edition); Edition of the year 1329 AH, in 24 pages, at the end of which is advice composed by Abu al-Abbas al-Hilali. Edition of the year 1329 AH, in 39 pages, at the end of which is Tasnif Al-Sam’ fi Hukm Al-Madhabahat Al-Saba’ by Al-Fatimi Al-Sharadi (available in the library under No. 189).
