Notes Praise be to God alone                And may God’s blessings be upon our Master and Master Muhammad and his family and companions, our love, the leader, the happiest, the most glorious scholar, Sidi Idris, peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you, for the goodness of our Master, may God grant him victory. And then, let it be generous in your knowledge that some of our cousins have responded to you regarding our matter, and they have been engaged in delving, and the reason for this is that a load of cows was brought to the people of Meknes in the season, Sidi Abdel Karim Al-Wazzani, who sent a letter with two Riyals who published it. He had a sacrifice with the intention of slaughtering it at the shrine of Sidi Ali bin Hamdouche. May God benefit from it. It was signed by our cousins. Leave the sacrifice of the people of Meknes until you slaughter it with the intention of Sidi Abdel Karim. Then, the aforementioned calf lay in a hole in the glass. When morning came, we came for the bull, but we did not find it. Our cousins who were coming for you rose and presented to the Pasha of Qaid Muhammad with a broom and complained about him on our side. They cursed the Hamdouchi sect with a broom and smeared us with what we did not have. I signed. By God, besides whom there is no god, I have no knowledge of him, nor have I written any news about him. Today, the Durhams have descended on Rabi’ah. My master Ali dragged us and I said to them, “Do not separate, let us correct the strife with it, as our master, may God grant him victory, commanded when he made the matter of the dome a ministry in our hands, as you know, and after our master commanded us to stand on Rabi’ah, we did not approach Rabi’ah or any of it in the past until now, but they were in charge of dispersing the visit with their own hands, and we did not pay attention to them, and I learned that everyone who came to the righteous guardian was from Honorable people, unless they are like these Abbas, and these are them and others. I am standing with him without him, and none of our cousins appears. This is all due to our lack of judgment over them and our negligence over them, as well as the meeting with our master, may God bless him, so no one undertakes it except us. And here I am coming to you following the letter with the intention of blessing our master, may God bless him, in the blessed banquet, and this is what it is obligatory to inform you of, and we, as you know from us, are always in love and peace on the 13th of Rabi’ al-Thani in the year 1288.          Your beloved Muhammad Al-Hafyan, may God grant him peace
