Sample Text As in all areas of library services, developments and changes have necessitated the change in library catalogs; more powerful and functional library catalogs have begun to be needed for purposes such as providing efficient and fast bibliographic information to the user, defining the information source in all kinds of environments where information is recorded in a more detailed, understandable and effective manner, and increasing accessibility by providing relational data. In this direction, the new cataloging standard Resource Description and Access (RDA), which replaced the Anglo American Cataloging Rules 2 (AAKK2), has started to be implemented in some libraries around the world and in our country. New approaches, rules and practices on this subject are still being discussed both in our country and in the world; cataloging and metadata librarians share their experiences. In this study, the structure, philosophy and terminology of RDA will be briefly explained based on the literature, and the processes, problems experienced and perception of RDA will be revealed based on the results of a survey conducted on the RDA practices of cataloging librarians working in university libraries in Turkey. In the study, the RDA application in Özyeğin University Library will be mentioned and the change in the library catalog compared to AAKK2 will be explained with examples.
