A combination of competition and collaboration among the two Istanbul airports was considered a good approach to develop the Istanbul Air Cargo Hub as the geographical location is there and very soon the extra capacity. Customs recent achievements were mentioned, but still some way to go if aiming to become a world class hub. In the growth of air cargo, e-commerce should be paid close attention., The roundtable discussion focused on two basic questions: air cargo technical hardware (hardware), with capacity being the main issue, and air cargo software (software), with customs being the main issue. It was emphasized that the competition and cooperation between Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Istanbul New Airport will be important in order to turn Istanbul, which is in a strong location, into an air cargo center. Recent achievements on the customs side were mentioned, but it was emphasized that there was still a long way to go to become a world-class cargo center. Finally, it was suggested that e-commerce should be given particular importance in the growth of air cargo.
