An alphabetically-arranged medical dictionary in Arabic and Persian. The work was compiled from multiple source texts enumerated on f. 2r, lines 1-4 and including the
Canon of Medicine
(القانون في الطبّ) by Abū ‘Alī al-Ḥusayn ibn ‘Abd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, 980-1037), and commentaries on it. The dictionary includes parts of the body, eminent medical figures, conditions, and treatments (foodstuffs and simple and compound drugs).
The work was authored by the doctor Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf, 'the Harātī doctor' (محمد ابن يوسف الطبيب الهروي, d. 1542; see f. 1v, line 10) and dedicated to the
wazīr
Ẓahīr al-Dīn Muḥammad Amīr Bek (ظهير الدين محمد المشتهر بأمير بك; f. 2r, lines 8-9).

حمداً لعلام أجدى ذوى الإفهام تحقيق دقائق اللغات العربية وشكراً لوهاب أبدا
على أولى الألباب تدقيق حقائق النكات الأدبية سبحانه...

... هركس در آن زمين چيزي حفظ كند مطلقاً فراموش
نكند جمعي تجار گفتند كه ما در بحر بوديم چون بآن موضع رسيديم
هر چه از نافراموش بود در ايام گذشته همه بخاطر آمد و ازين
سبباست كه اكثر حكما منسوبند بآن موضع و در هيچ زمين مثل ايشان
پيدا نشده است
