Parts Eight and Nine (الجزء الثامن والجزء التاسع) of the
Kitāb al-Ḥāwī
(كتاب الحاوي,
Liber continens
), an encyclopaedic medical compendium by Abū Bakr Muḥammad ibn Zakarīyā al-Rāzī (أبو بكر محمد بن زكريا الرأزي; d. ca 925).
The title page (f. 3r) gives the following title:
الجزء الثامن من كتاب الحاوي
في الطب
وفيه
الجزء التاسع والجزء العاشر
The division between parts eight and nine is not apparent in the text.
The production date of this codicological unit can be given a terminus post quem of 711/1311-12, the earliest date found amongst the ownership inscriptions on f. 3r.

من التدبير الملطف
قال التدبير الملطف يحل جسا الكبد قال ولا ينبغي في علل
الكبد والطحال أن يخلط بماء كشك الشعير عسل لي
أقل السكر هاهنا لي تفقل (؟) في علل الكبد حال البول
فمتى رأيته احتبس أصلًا فاعلم أن الورم في الكبد عظيم جدًا
Ends (f. 274v, lines 20-21):
فيحمله بجامع وهي محملة له فإنه عجيب وإن كان سره غلام
ولدت غلامًا وإن جارية فجارية.
