ملاحظات A gloss on al-Muṭawwal of Masʻūd ibn ʻUmar al-Taftāzānī, which is a commentary on Talkhīṣ al-Miftāḥ by Jalāl al-Dīn al-Qazwīnī, which in turn is an abridgment of Miftāḥ al-ʻUlūm, the famous treatise on rhetoric by al-Sakkākī. | Ms. codex, Title from fol. (1)b., Marginal and interlinear notes and glosses. On back of first page and preceding folio occur beginning of MS and several linguistic notes. Inscriptions on fol. 97b and the following folio., Collation: Paper ; fol. (2) + 97 + i ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 23 lines per page., Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (coat-of-arms) ; MS in good condition., Origin: According to colophon copied 1091 (fol. 97a)., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قال وبهذا يظهر ان ما ذهب اليه من ان اللام في الحمد لتعريف الجنس, Colophon: المحد لله الموهل الى رسول الكريم 10091 | Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in dark brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Pink paper pastedowns. Not currently sewn. | Ownership signature of Muṣṭafá ibn Abū Bakr Bānīyah? Kūlī?
