ملاحظات
These earrings are said to have been bought at Trebizond in the 19th century. They are not typical of Turkish jewellery of the time, and are more reminiscent in style and technique of medieval Islamic jewellery. They may have been made in Syria in the 18th century; there is a similar, less sophisticated, pair in the Linden Museum at Stuttgart.

Fiziksel açıklama
Pair of gold earrings decorated with granulation and turquoise. Each earring is shaped like a hollow wishbone decorated with granule decoration. There is a lozenge, made from wire rings soldered together, in the central space between the two sides of the wishbone. There is a turquoise in a cylindrical mount set on the front and back of the lozenge. The wire is made from twisted wire and curves across the space between the two ends of the wish bone. It is hinged at one end, and has a loop at the other, which is secured by a pin fastening.
