ملاحظات
إن الطغراءات العثمانية هي تخطيط لشعارات الدولة ممثلة لسلطة السلطان وكانت تتضمن في كل الوثائق الرسمية بما فيها الفرمان (المراسيم السلطانية ) وأوراقالوقف، المراسلات ، والقطع النقدية . وقد استخدمت من قبل أولسلطانعثماني في عام 1324 وطورت لاحقا إلى شكل أكثر تعقيدا الذي لم يكن من السهل قراءته أو نسخه. وهذا المثال عبارة عن الأحرف الأولى من اسم السلطان سليمان الكبير (حكم خلال 1520-66) وإن شكله ذوالطرازالخاص هو تشكيل تخطيطي معقد يتضمن اسم وألقاب السلطان واسم والده وعبارة ""المنتصر أبدا"" . وإن الخط الثخين الدلالي يتباين مع التحلية بلفات الكرمة الملتفة كزخرفة وهذه الطغراء عبارة عن ترويسة لوثيقة طويلة ضيقة بشكل ملفوف والسطر الأول فيها مكتوب بخط ذهبي في أسفل الصفحة.
