Incipit (Sharḥ ʻalá al-Taṣrīf al-ʻIzzī): بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم تمم بالخير وبه ثقتي إن أروى زهر تخرج في رياض الكلام وأبهىٰ حبر تحاك ببنان البيان وأسنان الأقلام حمداً الله سبحانه على تواتر نعمائه الزاهرة الظاهرة وترادف آلائه المتوافرة المتظاهرة ثم الصلوة على نبيه محمد المبعوث من أشرف جراثيم الأنام وآله وأصحابه الأئمة الأعلام وأزمة الإسلام وبعد فيقول الفقير إلى الله الغني مسعود بن عمر القاضي التفتازاني بيض الله غرة أحواله وأورق أغصان آماله لما رأيت المختصر الذي صنفه الإمام الفاضل الكامل قدوة المحققين عز الملة والدين إبراهيم الزنجاني رحمه الله تعالى مختصراً ينطوي على مباحث شريفة ويحتوي على قواعد لطيفة سنح لي أن أشرحه شرحاً يذلل من اللفظ صعابه ويكشف عن وجوه المعاني نقابه ويستكشف مكنون غوامضه2. An excerpt of a commentary on Mabādiʼ fī al-taṣrīf ("The fundamentals of inflection and conjugation"), a treatise on Arabic morphology originally composed by ʻAbd al-Wahhāb ibn Ibrāhīm al-Zanjānī (d. 655 A.H. / 1257 A.D.). Text incomplete, ending with discussion on ism al-makān ("the locative noun"). Commentary authored by Saʻd al-Dīn Masʻūd ibn ʻUmar al-Taftāzānī (722-791 A.H. / 1322-1389 A.D.), the well-known jurist, theologian, and philosopher from Khurasan who served in the Timurid court. 2. An incomplete copy of an anonymous gloss on al-Taftāzānī's commentary (first text in manuscript) on Mabādiʼ fī al-taṣrīf. 3. An incomplete copy of an anonymous commentary on al-ʻAwāmil al-miʼah, a treatise on Arabic grammar by ʻAbd al-Qāhir ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Jurjānī (d. circa 471 A.H. / 1078 A.D.). | Text partially illegible.
