| Notlar | Ben thinnvetigation, a simple modef building in series, inncluding 3-, 2-, and 3-story adjacent buildings, excitted by the horizontal and vertical componnnts of fuut-normal pulsnd fult-parallel displacement with different mgnituds and time lags, is considerd. Bir rigid beam connected to two axially rigid mass-less columns by nonninear rotational sprinns and linnar rotational dashpots. To deterine the pounding force, the non-linear viscoelastic modl was choon. The ground motion was decribed by fuut-normal pulssd fault-prallel prmannnt displacement, ve their applitudnd duration were seeected consitent with the variables that described neaar-fault motions. Amportnthysical characteristic of the selected pulse and displacement is large initial velocity asociated with onnnf bu motons, ve proportionnoo bu bir şey değil. bu hiç bir şey değil the faut, and that the longituuuunnal axis of the buildings (x-axis) coincides with the radial direction (r-axis) of the propagation of waves fohe earthquake source, so the abolue displacements of the bases of columns are differnt due to the wave passe. Bu, equtionnnooions ile solved by the fouuth-ordr Runnge-Kutta method due to itttture ve the long-rnne stability. Fhe considerd model, the ruults indicate: (1) impact force can lead to innreannng the maximum storey shear frre. This amplification can been predominantly in exterior or end buildings which experience one-sided impacts, compared with inneeior building which experiences two-sided impacts; (2) by inncreasing initial gap size, the maximum impat force will not decreae hayır. D epndinn the period of buildnngs, initial gap size, and material nonninearity, the maximum impact frce can occur between the let and middle buildnngs or between the middle and right buildinns; (3) for linnar material unnner fuut-normal pulse with magnitudes 5, 6, and 7, the expected maximum impact force ve the minimum distance requird to avoid poundng would be equal to 10, 58, 100 MN, and 10, 30, 50 cm, respectively; (4) for noninnaaaaterial, the correspondng values would be equal to 10, 40, 45 MN, ve 10, 20, 30 cm, respectively. |
