wood — Balinese calendar-system used for calculating good and bad days for human activity,
such as in determining the time of ritual pertaining to religion, agriculture, healing,
starting a journey, building a house or a temple within a fixed and circular time-cycle
of 2 x 6 months, which is called one Wuku-year (420 days). Tika also comprises signs of prohibited days called patipata for all kinds of important
activities, in the form of a cross. Besides using the 7-day-week-system (Sapta Wara) Tika also integrates the 5-day-week-sistem
(Panca Wara), the 4-day-week-system(Catur Wara), 3-day-week-system (Tri Wara), 6-day-week-system
(Sad Wara), 8-day-week-system (Asta Wara), 9-day-week-system (Sanga Wara), and the
10-day-week-system (Dasa Wara).
