Foundation warp: Material: yellow, Z twist, silk. Thread count: 64 warps per cm Velvet Warp: Material: silk, S twist, doubled, green and red throughout, peach and blue introduced in bands when required. Thread count: 16 pile warps per cm Weft: 2 wefts: 1 foundation weft, 1 supplementary metal weft Proportion: 3 wefts, 1 rod, 1 metal weft. Foundation weft: Material: silk, Z twist, cream, every second weft doubled. Thread count: 30 wefts per cm Supplementary Metal Wefts: supplementary metal wefts, 1 per pile unit. These cover the foundation weave from selvedge to selvedge and are bound in a 1/4 twill.
