Fiziksel açıklama Tentband cut and sewn to form cover. WARP: white wool; Z2S; 44 threads per inch (approx. 168 per dm counted as 84 per 5 cms). WEFT: white wool; Z spun, unplied, 2 parallel threads per shoot; 1 shoot after each row of knots; 12 knots per inch (49 per dm counted as 24 per 5 cms). PILE: wool, silk and cotton; 10 colours: dark red (silk), red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, blue, dark pink, pink, brown, white cotton; symmetrical knots tied around 3 threads with one thread left between each knot; 132 knots per sq. inch (2058 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: one cord oversewn with dark pink silk. END FINISH: cut DESIGN: Field: white plain weave ground with long sequences of piled, bold motifs - floral, foliate, geometric, horned - all of them off long, narrow stems. White cotton appears exclusively on stems and borders. Border: the three borders are constant in design and similar in colour. The outer has a dark red ground. Red lozenges alternate with white cotton ones and are separated by green or dark blue Xs. There are occasional knots of yellow. The centre border is a side-to-side zigzag outlined in pink on white, plain weave ground. The inner border is composed of white cotton flowerheads, unfilled with reds, sometimes with yellow centres. NB: the right hand band lies in the reverse direction. Catalogue date: 10.8.94.
