Fiziksel açıklama
Fragment of a tapestry woven panel of purple wool and undyed linen, with geometric decoration picked out in flying thread brocading in undyed linen. The decoration, which takes up around three-quarters of the panel, consists of a tesselating repeat pattern of cruciform shapes joined by horizontal and vertical lines. A floral border on the left of the fragment depicts a pattern of leaves and dots, possibly representing vine leaves and grapes. A trailing vine band runs from the bottom of the panel to the edge of the fabric. Tapestry weave: Linen warp (S-spun, 10/cm [2-3-2-3 alternating]) Wool weft (Z-spun) Linen weft (Z-spun) 9/10 ribs per cm
