Notlar The decoration on this multi-necked vase for displaying cut-flowers is unusual in its depiction of court musicians at an outdoor gathering. In addition, the form is also atypical with the three vases on the shoulders imitating typical multi-necked vases, which alternate with shorter tubular necks and small support (?) pads, the latter are also found on the smaller complex shoulder vases. No other example has been identified. It may have been part of a special commission or a revived model of slightly later production.
Malzemeler ve teknikler Fritware with underglaze decoration Fritware Painted Glazed
Fiziksel açıklama Vase painted in 3 greyish blues and black. The vase is not in a good state of preservation. A tall central neck is surrounded by three vases with treble necks. These alternate with three single smaller spouts with lateral knobs. Rough scrolls of large flowers with spiky leaves cover the top part of the vase. Like trees they also surround at a distance three musicians with string instruments and a drum, a pair of youngsters and a bearded man with a creature in trousers on his lap. One youngster wears a European hat, the others have fairly flat turbans. A round shape, perhaps a shield, decorated with a broad cross and four roundels hangs in mid air to the left of the couple. A row of lotus panels with plain dividers completes the decoration towards the base.
