Design: Field: yellow ground closely packed with a pattern of small botehs, all facing to the right. Between each large boteh is a small boteh on a floral base. The colours (all but the red are outlined in dark blue and all have a yellow centre) form diagonal lines going from the lower left to the upper right. Three narrow borders with a angular floral meander. The inner and outer have a blue ground with red flowers on a brown or black stem. The middle one has a red ground with yellow or white flowers on a dark blue stem. Three lower chequered bands: (1) dark red/green with red or white flowerheads (2) blue/white with white or red flowerheads (3) as (1) Three upper chequered bands: (1) red/green with yellow or red flowerheads (2) blue/white with dark red or yellow flowerheads (3) dark red/green with dark blue or yellow flowerheads Warp: dark brown and white, sometimes plied together; Z2S; 17-19 threads per inch (70-80 per dm.) Weft: red wool; Z spun, unplied; 2 parallel threads per shoot; 2 shoots after each row of knots, 10 knots per inch (40 per dm). Pile: wool; 9 colours: dark red, red, yellow, green, dark blue, blue, brown, black, white; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; 85-95 knots per sq. inch (1400-1600 per sq. dm). Side finish: one cord oversewn with red and blue wool. End finish: lower: incomplete, but twisted warp loops forming a fringe; above this there is a stout cord and then 6 cms of plain weave in bands of dark brown/dark red/green/dark red/brown. Upper: 4.5 cms of plain weave in bands of brown/dark red/blue/brown/dark brown and an incomplete warp fringe secured with a single knot.
