WARP: white cotton; Z7S; 20 threads per inch (74 per dm); depressed WEFT: red cotton; Z unplied, 4 parallel threads per shoot; 3 shoots after each row of knots; 12 knots per inch (43 per dm). PILE: wool; 9 colours: dark red, light red, yellow, green, light green, very light green, dark blue, light blue, black; asymmetrical knot open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 120 knots per sq. inch (1591 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: cut END FINISH: cut DESIGN: main border: dark blue ground with a light green, flower-filled meander over a dark red leaf-filled meander and over a narrow, very light green meander with a geometric knot design. Inner border: light green ground with sprigs of three dark red flowers alternating with small, multi-coloured palmettes.
