Malzemeler ve teknikler Warp: white cotton, Z9S, 30-34 threads per inch (122-130 per dm), depressed. Weft; blue cotton, Z6S, two shoots after each row of knots, 12-16 knots to the inch (58-65 per dm). Pile: wool, seventeen colours (some badly faded): dark red, red, dark orange, orange, light orange, yellow, dark green, green, light green, dark blue, blue, light blue, very light blue, purple, light pink, very light brown, white. Asymmetrical knot, open to the left and tied around 2 threads, 180-272 knots per sq. inch (3538-4225 per sq. inch). Side finish: one cord over sewn with dark orange wool. Lower end finish: incomplete. Two cm warp loops held in place with weft twining. Plain weave with white cotton weft and one row of weft twining in dark green and dark orange. Cotton Wool Weaving
Fiziksel açıklama Cotton and wool prayer carpet with cusped arch and cusped double point at the lower end. The design shows a dark blue ground with vase and bands of flowers and flower-sprays. The vase is decorated with floral arabesques. Beneath the vase is a white ground scalloped half-diamond filled with arabesques with quarter-diamonds in the two lower corners. The two upper spandrels are of the same ground and similar decoration. The niche is scalloped and frames one large flaming palmette beneath an inverted crescent. Part of a tall tree in blossom is revealed to the extreme sides of the field. The main border has reciprocal floral sprigs in blue and dark orange. The inner and outer border have light green ground with naturalistic floral meander.
