Fiziksel açıklama Carpet with a knotted woollen pile. Field of white ground with interlaced stems and leaves forming a lattice. There are two vases top and bottom and two medallions in the centre formed by arabesques surrounding a blue palmette. Sprigs of flowers surround each vase. Main border: red ground with interrupted green borders containing floral meander. Along the sides there are three vases with flowers and two lozenges with flowers and leaves. Along the top and bottom the lozenge is central with a floral vase on either side. At each corner is a dark blue palmette. Inner border: pink ground with sequences of rosettes and pointed leaves. Outer border: dark blue ground with irregular shape alternating with diamonds. WARP: white cotton; (Z5S)2Z; 24-26 threads per inch (90-104 per dm); depressed. WEFT: blue cotton, Z4S; white cotton, unable to discern spin and twist; 2 shoots after each row of knots, 1 of each colour; 14 knots per inch (48-50 per dm). PILE of wool; 12 colours: red, dark yellow, yellow, dark green, green, light green, dark blue, blue, light blue, pink, brown, white; asymmetrical knot, open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 168-182 knots per sq. inch (2160-2600 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: one cord over sewn with white wool. END FINISH: Lower: 2 cms plain weave with white cotton with red and green weft twining at the beginning of the pile; 5 cms warp loops at the bottom. Upper: missing.
