Malzemeler ve teknikler Wool Weaving
Fiziksel açıklama Carpet, soumak, plain and countered. WARP: Foundation: white wool; Z2S; 1 shoot after each row of soumak; 13-15 rows per inch (53-59 per dm). Soumak: wool; 11 colours: red, light red, yellow green, dark blue, blue, dark brown, brown, very light brown, black, white; soumak thread over 4 warp threads and back under 2. SIDE FINISH: 2 cords overcast with red wool. END FINISH: (A) 4 rows of off-set knots and max. 33 cms. loose warp threads. (B) 3 rows of off-set knots and max. 15.5 cms. loose warp threads. DESIGN: Field: red ground with 4 large dark blue medallions which are indented lozenges. Within each is a blue cross on a light red octagon containing 8 rosettes. Off-set are pairs of yellow octagons with a small red central rectangle from which emerge 8 stylised petals, 4 of them with an S-motif. On either side is a pair of inward-facing dark brown pointed motifs containing, at the point, an arrow and, at the base, many hooks. Elsewhere on the field are large and small rosettes and other floral and leaf forms. At the edge is a blue reciprocal edging - along the sides in a diamond pattern and along the top and bottom in a trefoil pattern. Main border: very narrow top and bottom; dark brown ground with a light red zigzag outlined with blue. Within each angle is half a stepped lozenge; to each side is a light red area with a red S-motif are stepped triangles. Inner and outer borders: narrow top and bottom. White ground with an elaborate blue running dog pattern and very light brown and dark brown arrowheads.
