Fiziksel açıklama
Fragment of a tapestry woven panel in purple-brown wool and undyed linen thread, possibly from the neck border of a tunic. On the left side are the remains of a finishing border. The slit-tapestry woven decoration depicts, from left to right: a lozenge enclosing a fish, below the remains of a border of wavy vine stems alternating with roundels enclosing animals; the remains of a row of human figures in arched niches. Details are picked out in flying thread brocading in undyed linen thread. The fragment has been stuck to a tulle backing Tapestry weave: Linen warp (S-spun) Wool weft (Z-spun, approx. 50/cm) Linen weft (S-spun)
