There is no God but God, Muhammad is the Prophet of God, 'Ali is the vicar of God, prayer .../al-Munstansir billah, Commander of the Faithful, blessing of God be on him and on his [noble] and pure ancestors and his victorious descendants." Note What follows al-Mustansir's name is a well-known Fatimid formula, which is found on several monuments also.

Fiziksel açıklama Technical analysis: linen and silk woven tiraz. Ground: plain or tabby weave ground in undyed linen. Warp: S-twist, 30-1 per cm. Weft: S-twist, 30-1 per cm. Bands: two tapestry-woven bands , one with inscriptions, one in mirror image of the other and decorative area in between. Slit and dovetailed tapestry over single and paired warps. Weft of undyed linen for the letters and other details and of silk with no noticeable twist in the dark and light blue, red faded, yellow faded abd black faded. Twenty-one weft shoots per cm; 60 ribs per cm. This is a fragment of fine linen, with bands of tapestry, woven in coloured silks and linen thread on the warp threads of linen.
