Malzemeler ve teknikler Wool
Fiziksel açıklama decoratie band, soumak (check type). WARP: black wool; Z2S; 24 threads per inch (93 per dm). WEFT: Foundation: dark blue wool; Z spun, unplied; 2 parallel threads per shoot; 1 shoot after each pattern weft; 21 threads per inch (79 per dm). Pattern: wool; check; 8 colours: red, yellow, green, dark blue, blue, light brown, black, cream; Sequence: over 4 warp threads and back behind 2. SIDE FINISH: both sides returned weft. END FINISH: Lower end (to include border corner); 3 cms. plainweave with dark blue weft, with 2 rows of single stitching over 4 threads in yre/yellow and then green/red the plain weave to t. and s.p. Upper and cut through borders, t. and s.p. DESIGN: NB: described as used. Field: blue/black ground with single band of humans, animals, birds and trees. Main border: at bottom and left-hand side only: white ground with regular hooked motifs in black, red, green, blue and dark blue. Guard stripes: at bottom only: yellow and red blocks. Below bottom border are many coloured tassels 25 cms. long. As there is no border on the right-hand side (as used) this piece was probably intended to be joined onto another.
